Web surfing one day took me to the Creative Control Concepts website. There I found PIC-TV. PIC-TV is a device that takes ASCII commands via a RS-485 network connection. The StarGate has a RS-485 port and an ASCII out command. Using the ASCII out you can display text on any TV screen. The text can overlay video or generate its own background, which can be many different colors. I connected the PIC-TV device to my video modulator and my front door video camera. Now every TV in the house can see the front door camera or the video displays from StarGate. I have made an interactive menu system with the PIC-TV, check it out. Here are some pictures of what I have going so far.
