StarGate, The Next Generation in Automation.

The following are some common events that people would like to do. There are many different ways to accomplish the same task, hopefully these will help you with your own ideas. Simply click on the title of the idea to see the event programming.

Whole house paging: When someone picks up a phone and enters P-A-G-E on the keypad, the phone audio is connected to the house speakers for 15 seconds.

Memo Reminder: When someone enters M-E-M-O on a phone keypad, they are promted to enter the time for their reminder, then record a message. Later at the memo time, StarGate will announce memo ready through the house speakers. Entering M-E-M-O again plays back the message.

Sales call annoyance: When you answer the phone and a sales person will not take no for an answer, simply press #9. You hang up. The caller will then hear "I'm sorry, this number does not accept this type of call. Please remove this number from your list." Then StarGate will hang up the phone and beep the speakers so you know the phone is free.

Caller ID announce: Durring the second ring, StarGate will announce the caller in their own voice. If the call is private, or unknown that will be annoucnced. This event also sets the custom greeting for the answering machine incase we do not answer.

Mail arrival notice: This simply announces when the mail has arrived in our mailbox. To reset the annoucement if it is tripped in error, simply close, open, then close the mailbox with in 5 seconds. If we are not home, I will be paged.

High/Low temperature: This simply keeps track of the days outside high and low temperatures.

Phone call hold: Durring a phone call press *00 to place the call on hold. The caller is told "One moment" by StarGate. Every minute you are reminded the call is on hold. After three minutes the caller is hung up on. Durring hold, the phone is placed in intercom mode so you can page whoever the call is for. Simply press # to release hold.

Doorbell activity: Doorbell activity is recorded through out the day for review later. The doorbell can also generate some different sounds depending on the time of year. Durring Halloween, there is a ghost, Christmas plays jingle bells, and the rest of the year sounds an upstairs chime module. If we are not home, I am paged when the doorbell is rung.
