Pretty Good Polish...

In just 94 hours!

(Over several months....)

I went to an Airstream rally in Calistoga, CA earlier this year (2003) and watched a brief polishing demo.  They used the Perfect Polish method of a compound polisher followed by a cyclo using Nuvite products.  The demonstration gave me the idea that I should try this.  Didn't look too hard ;-)

I won't go into the methods used since there are many websites out there describing how to polish an Airstream.  But I will say that the Nuvite product is very good and I would use it again.

Here are some photos of my work.

Filform corrosion.  What can I say, Yuck!  This stuff made my work much harder.  To get rid of this I had to use the compounder ( a low speed half inch drill with a wool buffing pad) over the area about 10 times!

Look at that shine!
