Lake Tahoe, CA

Our first campsite was actually outside of Truckee, CA at a place called Coachland RV.  Coachland has 131 full hook up sites.  All sites were pull thru.  We wanted a full hook up site to test all the features of our trailer.  It is a good thing we had one to because we ended up having to use our shower in the trailer since the campground only had 1 shower for the entire place and it was located too far from the sites.

The only other bad part of Coachland is that it is home to some *regulars*.  The guy next to us had been there six years!  All in all the place was ok and had good power, water, and cable TV.  Cost was $34 a night.

We stayed two nights.  Here are some pictures of our site.

We decided to stay a third night but Coachland did not have any room.  Probably because most of their sites are given to the *regulars*.  So we ventured down to South Lake Tahoe and stayed at Tahoe Valley Campground.

Tahoe Valley Campground was a lot different from Coachland.  We were taken around in a golf cart to view several sites that we could chose from.  My wife choose the only back in site.  So my second time out I had to back in.  Only took 15 minutes with 4 cars waiting ;-)

Tahoe Valley has nice things to do including, swimming pool, tennis court, playground, horse shoes, arcade room.  We only stayed one night so we didn't get to try out anything.  Maybe next time.

We had some problems with our site's power.  Missing ground and low voltage.  Was nothing they could do.  But I learned to check the power BEFORE I setup camp next time.

The cost for Tahoe Valley was $38 a night.
